Anna City Council approves tentative operating budget

The Anna, Illinois City Council met recently to approve the tentative operating budget for FY 2016-17.

The motion was carried unanimously.

The council also approved the Police Department's policy manual, and an outside city gas and water tap application for 40 Country Club Lane. A Community Wide Yard Sale to be held on June 4 was also approved by the council.

The council also approved the drafting of a six-month interim chief management contract for Mike Hunter at a salary of $59,000. Hunter is listed as the assistant police chief on the city's website.
