Waterloo CUSD No. 5 Board of Education discusses performance and compensation of personnel

Waterloo Community Unit School District (CUSD) No. 5 Board of Education met Wednesday, April 6.

Waterloo Community Unit School District No. 5 oversees students in grades pre-K through 12 in Monroe County, Illinois.

Here are the minutes of the meeting as provided by Waterloo CUSD No. 5:

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF WATERLOO COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 5 OF MONROE AND ST. CLAIR COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,

HELD ON THE 6th DAY OF APRIL, 2016, IN THE GARDNER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 1 ED GARDNER PLACE, WATERLOO, ILLINOIS, MONROE COUNTY, IN SAID DISTRICT.

The meeting was called to order by President John Caupert. The following members were present: Valerie Baxmeyer, Dwight Boehm, Jo Ellen (Jodi) Burton, John Caupert, Lori Dillenberger, Gary Most, and Steve Wheat. 

Also present: Superintendent Brian Charron.

There were no guests present.

Motion was made by Wheat and seconded by Most that an executive closed session be called at 6:30 p.m. to discuss performance and compensation of personnel and is authorized by the Open Meetings Act Exceptions. [5 ILCS120/2(c)(1)] Boehm, aye; Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Most, aye; Wheat, aye; Baxmeyer, aye; and Caupert, aye. Seven yeas. No nays. Motion passed.

Motion was made by Wheat and seconded by Dillenberger for the Board to close the executive session at 8:15 p.m. Further, that the minutes of the executive session held on April 6, 2016, be approved. Boehm, aye; Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Most, aye; Wheat, aye; Baxmeyer, aye; and Caupert, aye. Seven yeas. No nays. Motion passed.

Motion was made by Wheat and seconded by Baxmeyer that the meeting be adjourned at 8:15 p.m. Boehm, aye; Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Most, aye; Wheat, aye; Baxmeyer, aye; and Caupert, aye. Seven yeas. No nays. Motion passed.
