Columbia Public Library Board of Trustees met Monday, March 14.
The Columbia Library Board of Trustees consists of nine members appointed by the mayor. Each serves a three-year term and may be reappointed at the mayor’s discretion.

March 14, 2016
The meeting of the Columbia Library Board was called to order by President Dan Brutton at 7:10 on Mon. March 14, 2016. Meeting date had been changed due to illness. Present were Britta Krabill, Dan Brutton, Shane Watson, Chris Trowbridge, and Diane Stechnesser. This number of members did not represent a quorum and no voting or approvals were made.
Minutes from the Feb. 9, 2016 meeting were review.
No one was present for Public Comment Britta reviewed the Treasurer's Report with bills totaling $9,125.34. She will submit bills to city. Library Director's Report
Britta is running for a seat on Illinois Heartland Association Board which meets in Edwardsville.
Annette attended Targeting Autism Forum. There was a patron accident in library basement on 3/8/16. Accident report has been filed. Fire Dept. checked carbon monoxide leak. The extra copy machine has been picked up after numerous calls for removal.
5. Old Business
New board appointments for President and Secretary went into effect.
6. New business
The 16/17 budget was reviewed. The Library is switching a special designated bank account to Associated Bank. The 16/17 meetings dates for the Board were listed.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40.
