Jefferson County Highway Committee met Nov. 21.

Calto Order

Highway Committee Chairman Steve Draege called the Highway Committee of the efferson County Board to order at 6:17 P.M. in the County Board Room.

Roll Call

Upon the call of roll, the following committee members were present: Randy Edwards, Steve Draege, and Jeff Williams.

Justin Fulkersom.

Others present, Brandon Simmons, Sandra Wellmaker, CEiff Lindemann, Wayne Hicks, Timothy Marlow, Bob Watt and various media.

Pay Monthly bills. - Motion by Williams and seconded by Fulkerson to recommend to the full board to approve monthly claims as presented.

Monthly fuel; diesel and gasoline -Motion by Edwards and seconded by Fulkerson to recommend to the full board to award monthly fuel to Hue Oil at the price of $ 1.3995 per gallon for diese, and $ 1.3200 per gallon forgasohol, combined price $2,7195

C. Award of Stratton Road Grade Crossing project.

Motion by Edwards and seconded by Williams to recommend to the ful board to award the Stratton Road Grade Crossing Project, Section 13-06125-00-AS, to Dees Inc. out of West Frankfort, Illinois at the bid price of One hundred fifty three thousand six hundred seventy dollars and 00/00 ($153,670.00).

Approval of Resolution of Support to Benefit the Economy and Citizens of Illinois. Motion by Edwards and seconded by Williams to recommend to the full board to approve the Resolution of Support to Benefit the Economy and Citizens of Ellinois,

Approval of Load Limit Resolution Motion by Edwards and seconded by Fulkerson to recommend to the full board to pass a load Limit Resolution on County Roads, except designated truck routes, from January 15, 2017 thru April 15, 2017.

Appropriation of Motor Fuel Tax Funds.

Motion by Edwards and seconded by Fulkerson to recommend to the full board to approve a resolution appropriating Nine hundred thousand dollars ($900,000.00) for County Motor Fuel tax for the 2017 maintenance year, -Motion carried: 4 Ayes (Draege, Edwards, Fulkerson and Williams)

Approval of Resolution Appropriating Funds for the Payment of the County Engineer's Salary Motion by Edwards and seconded by Williams to recommend to the full board to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the County Engineer's salary from January 1, 2017 thru December 31, 2017.

Approval of Agreement for County Engineer's Salary Motion by Edwards and seconded by Fulkerson to approve the Agreement for County Engineer's Salary.

Approval of Contract between Jefferson County and the County Engineer Motion by Edwards and seconded by Williams to recommend to the full board to approve a Contract agreement between County and the County Engineer for a period from January 1, 2017 thru December 31, 2022. -Motion carried: 4 Ayes (Draege, Edwards, Fulkerson and Williams)

J. Approval of Qualified Bidder Selection Committee

Motion by Fulkerson and seconded by Williams to recommend to the ful board to appoint the County Engineer, the Engineering Assistant and the Highway Board Chairman to the Oualified Bidder Selection Committee. - Motion carried; 4ayes (Draege, Edwards, Fulkerson and Williams) - O Nay
