The Southern Illinois University season-ending football banquet will be held Jan. 28, according to the team website.
The event will start at 11 a.m. in the SIU Student Center Ballroom. Admission costs $35 per adult, $15 per student and $300 for a table of eight attendees.

The Salukis went 4-7 overall in 2016, including a 2-6 record in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The team ended the season with two wins in their last three games. SIU beat No. 24 Western Illinois 44-34 in the Nov. 18 season finale at home.
Linebacker Chase Allen, return specialist D.J. Davis and offensive lineman Austin Olsen each received honorable mentions when the All-MVFC teams were announced in November.
