Jefferson County Fiscal Committee met March 23.

Others Present Steve Draege, Ustin Fulkerson, Waynehicks, Adam Ortgesen, Randy Edwards, Terry Knowles, Roger Hayes, Dan Knox & Szy Tate
No one was present for public input.
County Treasurer Dan Knox was present to discuss the County's finances. Please see attached documentation.
Knox spoke to the committee regarding the downward trend in major tax revenues.
County Clerk Connie Simmons reported that she would like to purchase a currency counter for her office due to the influx of cash that flows through their office. An increase in tax redemptions is being noticed in her office and that is mostly paid with cash. The price for the currency counter that she is interested in is $1495.00 which also checks for counterfeit bills.
Motion by Sean Wilkey and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to purchase a currency counter in the amount of $1495.00 for the County Clerk's Office to be paid out of the Tax Redemption Fund. Motion Carried. Vote - 5 aye, Onay
A request from Hughey Funeral Home for three indigent burials in the amount of $750.00 each was received. Motion by Cliff Lindemann and seconded by Sean Wilkey to recommend to the Full Board to approve payment of $2250.00 to Hughey Funeral Home for three indigent burials.
Motion Carried. Vote -5 aye, 0 nay
Fescal Committee Meeting. March 23, 2017
