Ewing Northern Community Consolidated School District 115 Board met Jan. 23.

Here is the minutes as provided by the Board:

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Board President Eric Gibbs.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, Eric Gibbs and Victor Munoz.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Tom Harmon, Chris Sink and Larry Webb

Visitors present: Amy Hamson

President’s Comments: *President Eric Gibbs commented on the Volleyball Parent game was being heldtonight. The first game is Monday, January 30th.

*Basketball Regionals will be held at Ina. Regionals begin Thursday night with a game at 6:00pm. Ewing will play Friday, Jan. 27th at 7:00pm for the championship if we win on Thursday night.

*We have used 1 Emergency Day changing the last school to, at present, to Monday, May 22, 2017.

Visitor’s Comments: None.

Consent agenda: MOTION by Darren Fletcher to approve the consent agenda, 2nd by Eric Gibbs. 4 ayes (Victor Munoz, Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, and Eric Gibbs).

15-16 Financial Profile: Mrs. Ing presented the Ewing-Northern CCSD 115, 2016 Profile Designation for the 2015-2016 school year.

Mid-Year Budget: Mrs. K. Ing discussed the Mid-Year Budget Report from dates of July 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016.

Graduation Date: MOTION by Eric Gibbs to set the 2017 Graduation date as Thursday, May 18, 2017. 2nd by Darren Fletcher. 4 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Victor Munoz, Darren Fletcher and Eric Gibbs). Motion Carried.

Bus Contract: No action was taken regarding a discussion to proceed with the bidding process for a new bus contract. Further discussion will take place at the February school board meeting.

Closed Minutes approval: MOTION by Eric Gibbs to Review Closed Session Minutes. A semi-annual Review of Closed Session Minutes from July 2016 to December 2016. 2nd by Victor Munoz 4 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, Victor Munoz, and Eric Gibbs).

Open Closed Minutes: MOTION by Eric Gibbs to approve and open closed session minutes for the following dates: July 11, 2016, September 19, 2016, October 17, 2016, November 21, 2016, and December 19, 2016. 2nd by Victor Munoz. 4ayes (Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, Victor Munoz, and Eric Gibbs).

Review & Keep Closed MOTION by Eric Gibbs to keep Closed Session Minutes Closed for the August 15, 2016 Board Meeting. 2nd by Victor Munoz . 4 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, Victor Munoz, and Eric Gibbs).

Closed Audio: MOTION by Eric Gibbs to review the Closed Meeting Audio Recordings: a Semi-annual review of Closed meeting Audio recordings from Jan 2015 to June 2015. 2nd by Victor Munoz. 4 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Darren Fletcher, Victor Munoz, and Eric Gibbs).
