City of Waterloo Downtown Beautification and Economic Development Committee met Feb. 14.

Petitions by Citizens on Non‐Agenda Items‐ none
1. Tourism Times‐ Spring/Summer Edition. ¼ page ad in 2017 for $786.25 (same as 2016). Discussion on changing the ad content & artwork. Sarah to update. Motion to purchase ¼ page ad in Spring/Summer by Steve N , 2nd by Clyde H. Motion passed 5‐0.
2. Waterloo Millers Advertising. Motion to purchase ad in program for $400 by Clyde H, 2nd by Steve N. Motion passed 5‐0.
3. 2017 Solar Eclipse. Discussion on what to promote besides the solar glasses. Decided to form a committee with Explore Waterloo to promote the area retail stores & restaurants. Sarah will discuss at the next Explore Waterloo meeting.
4. Comments‐ Sarah was approached by Royal Publishing for an ad in the girl’s regional tournament program. Committee decided the timing was not right for an ad at this time. Motion to adjourn made by Steve N 2nd by Clyde H made at 4:20 pm. Motion passed 5‐0.
