Southern Illinois first baseman Shaye Harre recently added another record to her softball resume.
Harre, a senior from Nashville, Illinois, became the program's all-time leader for RBIs in a career by hitting a three-run home run in SIU's game against Indiana State on April 28 in Terre Haute, Indiana. That gave her 149 career RBIs as a Saluki, as well as her 30th career home run.
Harre already held the school records for total walks in one season and doubles in one game before her record-setting RBIs.
Through April 28, according to mvc.org, Harre led the league in on-base percentage at .517, doubles with 15, and walks with 49. She also was third in slugging percentage at .620 and tied for seventh in RBIs with 33 and plate appearances with 176.
Harre was named to the All-MVC First Team last season and was placed on the second team as a freshman.
