Jefferson County Board Fiscal Committee met May 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Committee Members Present: Bob Watt, Chairman, Jeff Williams, Sean Wilkey & Cliff Lindemann

Absent: James Waone

Others Present: Steve Draege, Adam Ortgiesen, Randy Edwards, Tim Marow, Wayne Hicks, Dan Knox, Clint Taylor, Terry Knowles, Steve Adams/Bernardi Securities & Suzy Tate

No one was present for public input.

County Treasurer Dan Knox was present to discuss the County's finances. Please see attached documentation.

Steve Adams from Bernardi Securities was in attendance to present a proposal to lower the interest rate on the jail bonds and not extend the length of term. Motion by Sean Wilkey and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to approve refinancing of the current jail bonds in the amount of approximately $5,050,000.00 at a lower interest rate and not lengthening the Current term by engaging Bernardi Securities.

Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay

Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by Sean Wilkey to recommend to the Full Board to approve the paid claims as presented.

Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay

Motion by Cliff Lindemann and seconded by Jeff Williams to recommend to the Full Board to approve the Payrol Distribution Report as presented.

Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay

Reports were reviewed by the Committee.

Board Member Tim Marlow asked if there were any updates on the Rend Lake Marina project. information was given by Board member Jeff Williams and Board Chairman Steve Draege.

Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by Cliff indemann to adjourn.

Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay
