Village of Cobden Board of Trustees met January 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order:

Village President Paul Z. Tomazzoli called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Roll Call:

Upon roll call, the following Trustees were present: Patrick Brumleve

Dennis Maze

Elvis Pearson

David Stewart

Minutes of the December 19, 2016 Regular Meeting:

Motion was made by Maze, seconded by Stewart, to approve the Minutes of the December 19, 2016 regular meeting as presented. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 4 – Brumleve, Maze, Pearson, Stewart

Nays: 0 – None

Absent: 2 – Britt, Gomez

Motion declared carried.

Approval of Bills and Salaries:

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Stewart, that presented bills in the amount of $14,047.72 and regular salaries be approved for payment. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 4 – Brumleve, Maze, Pearson, Stewart

Nays: 0 – None

Absent: 2 – Britt, Gomez

Motion declared carried.

Budget Report:

Motion was made by Pearson, seconded by Brumleve, to approve the Budget Report for the period ending December 29, 2016, as presented. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 4 – Brumleve, Maze, Pearson, Stewart

Nays: 0 – None

Absent: 2 – Britt, Gomez

Motion declared carried.

Line Item and Other Transfers:

Motion was made by Maze, seconded by Stewart, to authorize line item and other transfers as presented. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 4 – Brumleve, Maze, Pearson, Stewart

Nays: 0 – None

Absent: 2 – Britt, Gomez

Motion declared carried.

9-1-1 Intergovernmental Agreement – Jackson County:

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Stewart, to approve renewal of the agreement with Jackson County for 9-1-1 call handling. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 4 – Brumleve, Maze, Pearson, Stewart

Nays: 0 – None

Absent: 2 – Britt, Gomez

Motion declared carried.

State Board of Education – Summer Meals Program:

Correspondence was presented from Illinois State Board of Education regarding a summer meals program. The Village does not have the facility or personnel to provide service.

Ordinance No. 2016-950 – Elimination of Class E Liquor License:

Motion was made by Pearson, seconded by Brumleve, to pass and adopt Ordinance No. 2016-950 – An Ordinance to Amend Section 21-2-6 (E) of the Revised Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cobden. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 4 – Brumleve, Maze, Pearson, Stewart

Nays: 0 – None

Absent: 2 – Britt, Gomez

Motion declared carried.

Adjournment:

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Maze, that the Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees be adjourned. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
