Anna City Council met May 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The Anna City Council met in regular session at the Anna City Hall at 5:00 p.m. on May 16, 2017. The meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Al Kamp. The roll call went as follows: Present were Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp. Mayor Steve Hartline was absent.

A motion was made by Commissioner Isom and seconded by Commissioner Bierstedt that it be Resolved to Approve the May 2, 2017. Anna City Council Regular Session Minutes as Submitted as the Official Minutes of Said Meeting. A Vote Was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.

Sylvia Needham requested that the city council take into consideration to create a Yard Sale Ordinance. She suggested limiting the number of yard sales a year and the locations. City Administrator Steve Guined discussed that this has been an ongoing issue. Acting Mayor Kamp instructed the council to come up with ideas for the next council meeting.

Budget Office Steve Guined reminded the council that the April 28, 2017 financial reports had been Submitted for their review.

The City Administrator Steve Guined updated the council on the following projects: 1) The demoliation for 209 W. Vienna is scheduled to be finished May 17, 2017 then city personnel will clean up the yard waste, 2) The Davie St., LaFayette St., and Washington St. paving is scheduled to be complete this week. The striping will be done at a later date, 3) Park Play Courts are Scheduled for the color to be added the week of May 29, 2017 and Bathroom/Concession Stand is on schedule. 4) The swimming pool is looking great and the training of the lifeguard is going well. Opening day is scheduled for May 29, 2017. Steve Guined thanked Bill Bass for all the flowers uptown and the Garden Club for all their work at Hindman Park and the Anna City Park. Commissioner Bierstedt discussed the construction issues during the End of Year School Events.

A motion was made by Commissioner Isom and seconded by Commissioner Bierstedt that it be Resolved to Pay All Approved Bills. A Vote was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.

Discussion was held regarding closure of the Anna City Cemetery during the 4" of July fireworks. City policy instructs the cemetery to be closed at dusk each day. The public will be notified by posting a notice in the paper and on the back of the city utility bills. Chief Hunter was instructed to work with Carolyn at the city garage for organizing barricades and signage.

A motion was made by Commissioner Bierstedt and seconded by Commissioner Isom that it be Resolved to Close the Anna. City Cemetery During July 4" Fireworks: A vote was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.

A motion was made by Commissioner Isom and seconded by Commissioner Webb that it be Resolved to Approve a Employee Resignation for Toni Flamm on June 23, 2017. A vote was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.

A motion was made by Commissioner Bierstedt and seconded by Commissioner ISOm that it be Resolved to Approve a Employee Resignation for Genesullivan on February 1, 2018. A vote was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.

A motion was made by Commissioner Webb and seconded by Commissioner Bierstedt that it be Resolved to Approve a Park Usage/Pool Usage Application for Anna Blue Dolphins Swim Team May 30 - July 28, 2017. A Vote was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.

Code Enforcement Officer Gary Rider Submitted the monthly code enforcement updates.

Police Chief Hunter Submitted the monthly police department stats report.

A motion was made by Commissioner Isom and seconded by Commissioner Webb that it be Resolved that the Regular Session of the Anna City Council Meeting of May 16, 2017 Be Adjourned At 5:45 pm. A vote was taken upon the motion with the following results. Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, Commissioner David Isom, Commissioner Martha Webb and Acting Mayor Al Kamp voted yea. Nay - none. Acting Mayor Kamp declared the motion carried.
