Lick Creek Community Consolidated School District 16 Board met April 27.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Board President Greg George called the meeting to order on April 27, 2017 at 7:30 pm

Members Present were: George, Holshouser, Turner, Mitchell, Stover, Corbit, and Plott arriving at 7:50

pm. And Superintendent Boren.

Visitors: Bob Richardson, Dwayne Glasco, and Michelle Rushing

Motion by Holshouser second by George to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call vote:

George: yea, Holshouser: yea, Turner: yea, Mitchell: yea, Stover: yea, Corbit: yea. Motion passed.

Motion by Plott Second by Corbit to hire Desiree Walters as the 5th grade teacher for 2017-18 school

year. Roll call vote: George: yea, Holshouser: yea, Plott: yea, Turner: yea, Mitchell: yea, Stover: yea,

Corbit: yea. Motion passed.

Motion by Mitchell second by George to accept the resignation of Drew Robbins effective at the end of

the 2016-17 school year. Voice vote: motion passed.

Motion by Turner second by Plott to amend Board Policy 7:302 by striking the words “where students

are not practicing for more than one sport per day after school.” And inserting the words “between

coaches.” The last line of the amended policy would read, “This agreement must be approved by the

Athletic Director and must be worked out between coaches. “ Roll call vote: George: yea, Holshouser:

yea, Plott: yea, Turner: yea, Mitchell: yea, Stover: yea, Corbit: yea. Motion passed.

Motion by Mitchell second by Plott to approve the canvased results of the Lick Creek Board of Education

election as presented. Roll call vote: George: yea, Holshouser: yea, Plott: yea, Turner: yea, Mitchell: yea,

Stover: yea, Corbit: yea. Motion passed.

President Greg George recognized retiring member Clay Mitchell and thanked him for his service to the

district.

Inasmuch as there is no further business to come before this board, a motion for adjournment sine die is

in order. Motion by Stover second by Turner. Voice vote: motion passed. Meeting adjourned at

8:57pm.

President George called the meeting to Order at 8:58 pm

Members Present were: George, Holshouser, Turner, Mitchell, Stover, Corbit, and Plott arriving at 7:50

pm. And Superintendent Boren.

Mr. Boren presented the Oath of office to Matt Houseman, Dawn Turner, and Thomas Corbit at 8:59pm.

Greg George was appointed President Pro-tem and Holshouser was appointed Secretary pro-tem.

Nominations for Lick Creek CCSD# 16 Board President: Greg George and Allen Plott. Plott Declined.

George was elected by a unanimous vote.

Nominations for Lick Creek CCSD# 16 Board Vice President: Blayne Holshouser. Holshouser was elected

by a unanimous vote.

Nominations for Lick Creek CCSD# 16 Board Secretary: Allen Plott. Plott was elected by a unanimous

vote.

Motion by Housman second by Plott to adjourn. Voice Vote: motion passed. Adjourned at 9:10 pm
