Buncombe water board seeks volunteer to fill opening

The Buncombe Public Water District board has had a vacancy since the start of the year, and the Jackson County Board is calling for volunteers to apply for the role, according to a recent press release.

The water district meets one night a month to handle water district business and is tasked with communicating information about the system to the community. The board is made up of seven trustees: six from Jackson County and from Union County.

Volunteer terms run for five years.

Applications are available on the county website at www.jacksoncounty-il.gov/home. Completed applications can be addressed to the Jackson County Board Office, attn: Committee Coordinator.

The executive committee reviews applications on the first Thursday of the month. Applicants will be notified when their resume is up for review.
