The department activity report was included in the packets.
III.Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
Chief Brittingham announced that he wishes to hire Christopher Felix as a part-time officer and plans to add it to the August council agenda. He also said that the two new squad cars will be 2018 models, not 2017, and even though the price went up a little, it is still within the NTE amount.
Committee Member Donjon questioned why all the part-time officers seem to be from farther away. Brittingham stated that the main reason local officers are not hired is their unavailability to work the schedules the city needs filled.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
