City of Red Bud Public Works Committee met July 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Committee Members Present: Glenn Linnertz, Kyle Donjon, Bill Hanebutt, Clem Esker, Curt Guebert

Committee Members Absent:

Council Members Present: David Friess

Council Members Absent: Mike Reed, Susan Harbaugh

Others Present:Mayor Tim Lowry, City Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Administrator Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham

Others Absent:Administrative Assistant Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Linnertz called the meeting to order at 7:54 p.m.

Old Business:

I.Power Plant

1.Plant Report

Eckart reported that IMEA will be conducting some testing, with a 24 hour notice. This will enable IMEA to know what load they can bid in the auctions.

II.Safe Routes to School

Eckart reported that this project started back up today and there are eight working days left. The project should be wrapped up shortly.

III.FY’18 Permanent Street Program

Rooters Asphalt plan on being here on Wednesday.

New Business:

I.Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting June 19, 2017

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Linnertz, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the minutes from the June 19, 2017 meeting. Carried

II.Truck Replacement – Authorization to Advertise for Bids - Truck #39

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Linnertz, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve authorizing Josh Eckart to go out for bids on truck #39. Carried

III.Training Request – 2017 ICC Pipeline Safety Conference – J Eckart, K Langrehr

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Linnertz, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve sending Josh Eckart and Kenny Langrehr to training entitled “2017 Pipeline Safety Conference” in Effingham, IL on October 18 & 19, 2017, with no registration fee, but transportation, lodging and food are required. Carried

IV.Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

Meeting was adjourned at 7:47 p.m.
