Waltonville Community Unit School District 1 Board met July 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. Present: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Absent: Anderson & Walker

Motion by Banach, Seconded by Williams to approve the minutes of the June 29th, 2017 Regular Meeting and July 6th, 2017 Special Meeting Minutes. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Williams to approve the bills and treasurer's report and additional bills totaling $2,566.35 (Walmart $45.44, Frontier $313.14, IASA $653.85, Meyers Floor Service $1,133.00, Sherman Williams $45.92 and Roe #13 $375.00). Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Norris, Seconded by Banach to approve the Distance Learning Agreement with Hamilton County School District for Spanish for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Norris, Seconded by Williams to approve a vacation request for a high school student for the week of August 28th, 2017. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Williams, Seconded by Eastham to approve Isaac McPhail as volunteer assistant coach for grade school baseball for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Williams to hire Scott Haley as Assistant Basketball Coach for the High School 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Banach, Seconded by Eastham to approve Ellie Rush, High School Superintendent, to prepare the budget for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Banach to make changes to the employee handbook for 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Banach, Seconded by Eastham to approve the Title I Grant plan for the 2017/2018 School year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Williams, Seconded by Norris to approve advertisement to accept bids for auditor services for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Norris, Seconded by Eastham to begin using Evaluwise as the teacher evaluation program for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
