The calls in Duquoin included 36 fires - 12 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 18 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $143,550 in fire loss - or about $3,988 per fire.
The department also received 41 false calls.
The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries and 36 civilian non-fire injuries. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
The Duquoin Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has seven active employees and nine retired or inactive employees, was $252,068 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $7,002 for every fire in 2016.
