The calls in Sparta included 24 fires - 10 structure fires, five vehicle fires and seven other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $797,800 in fire loss - or about $33,242 per fire.
The department also received 22 false calls, including one malicious call and 21 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian non-fire injury and one civilian non-fire death.
