Rep. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) took to Facebook to thank supporters who came out to the annual downtown Mt. Vernon festival recently.
"It was great to see so many friends and supporters at the Mt. Vernon Fall Fest and parade,” she posted. “I want to take a moment to thank those volunteers that turned out for a great day of weather and a fun parade! Also thank you to all the folks that signed my petition! Your support is truly appreciated!”
Bryant is running for re-election after completing her first full-term political position since 2015.

“I came into office during a very challenging time in our State’s history,” Bryant said in a press release. “I am proud to have been a part of some of the solutions that are helping to right our financial ship of state, but there is a lot more work to do.”
The Mt. Vernon fall festival included a vendors marketplace, kids zone, parade, pumpkin contest and musical performances by The Kyle Yardley Blues Band, The Ivas John Band, and Mike Aguirre & the Blu-City All-Stars.
