The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce wants some help, and if the right candidate comes along, he or she might get some career help in exchange, according to the chamber's Facebook page.
The chamber is looking for a special events/marketing/social media intern for the spring semester and maybe beyond, provided all goes well.
Interns work a minimum of 10 hours per week, typically up to four hours per shift.
The position pays $10 per hour, and students from any department can apply, although advertising, public relations, business, mass communications, hospitality or tourism students might be best-suited for the position.
The intern will work and interact with staff in planning, preparation and coordination of all department activities. In addition, the intern will also be the “voice” of the department’s social media presence.
