Jefferson County Board Fiscal Committee met October 19.

No one was present for public input,
County Treasurer Dan Knox was present to discuss the county's finances. Please see attached documentation. Knox addressed the fact that Video Gaming Tax for the county had not been received. This is due to the fact that a business was annexed into the city, therefore the county will not receive any more tax from that business. We were not notified of this change as payments were being withheld.
County Clerk Connie Simmons addressed the committee regarding the previously discussed change in payroll dates. She recommended that the payroll dates not be changed but rather the paid through date. This will begin on January 1, 2018. Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to accept the payroll schedule as recommended by the County Clerk. The tentative FY2017-18 budget was presented. Motion by James Malone and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18 budget in the amount of $10,092,470.16.

Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by James Malone to recommend to the Full Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18 General Corporate levy in the amount of $314,550,55.

Motion by Cliff Lindemann and seconded by James Malone to recommend to the Fult Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18 MRF levy in the amount of $875,803.51.

Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18 County Highway levy in the amount of $384,539.17.

Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Ful Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18 County Bridge levy in the amount of $377,808.92.

Motion by James Malone and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18708 Mental Health levy in the amount of $144,606.64,

Motion by Cliff Lindemann and seconded by Jeff Williams to recommend to the Full Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18Tuberculosis levy in the amount of $78,500.75,

Motion by Jeff Williams and seconded by Cliff Lindemann to recommend to the Full Board to approve the tentative FY 2017-18 Federal Matching Aid levy in the amount of $177,808.92.
