A motion was made by Terry Shafer, second by Jeremy Greenley, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Vote: Yea votes 5, Nay votes 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Jeremy Greenley, second by David Thompson, to approve the bills and payroll. The roll call vote was as follows: Jeremy Greenley, yea; David Thompson, yea; Terry Shafer, yea; Diane Blaney, yea, Lamar Houston, yea. Yea votes 5, Nay votes 0. Motion carried.
**A motion was made by Jeremy Greenley, second by Terry Shafer, to give the business manager and superintendent authorization to pay late bills and the expense checks for the board for the Chicago Conference. (Payments will appear with November bills). The roll call vote was as follows: Jeremy Greenley, yea; David Thompson, yea; Terry Shafer, yea; Diane Blaney, yea; Lamar Houston, yea. Yea votes: 5, Nay votes 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Terry Shafer, second by David Thompson, to approve the Treasurer’s Report and Investments. A motion was made by Diane Blaney, second by Terry Shafer, to reimburse the Imprest Fund in the amount of $3,552.22. A motion was made by Terry Shafer, second by Jeremy Greenley, to accept the 2016-2017 audit as presented. The roll call vote was as follows: Jeremy Greenley, yea; David Thompson, yea; Terry Shafer, yea; Justin Schultz, year; Diane Blaney, yea; Lamar Houston, yea. Yea votes 6, Nay votes 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Terry Shafer, second by Jeremy Greenley, to employ Dale Pender as Middle School Head girls basketball coach and Sandy Pender as Middle School Assistant girls basketball coach for the 2017-2018 school year. The roll call vote was as follows: Jeremy Greenley, yea; David Thompson, yea; Terry Shafer, yea; Justin Schultz, yea; Diane Blaney, yea; Lamar Houston, yea. Yea votes 6, Nay votes 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Justin Schultz, second by Jeremy Greenley, to employ Faye Howard as a part-time special education teacher at the intermediate level. The roll call vote was as follows: Jeremy Greenley, yea; David Thompson, yea; Terry Shafer, yea; Justin Schultz, yea; Diane Blaney, yea; Lamar Houston, abstain. Yea votes 5, Nay votes 0, Absentia 1. Motion carried.
