The City of Benton Zoning & Planning Commission met Oct. 4.

Here is the agenda provided by the Commission:

The Benton Zoning and Planning Commission's regular business meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Garrett Collier at 6:13 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the Benton Municipal Building at 1403 South Main Street. Roll Call: Collier, McGuire, Neal, Bowlin, Shockley, Payne-Hubler. Absent: Cockrum. Also present: David Garavalia, Zoning Administrator.

Motion made by Shockley and seconded by Neal to approve minutes of the regular business meeting of September 5, 2017. Vote: Ayes: 6 Nays: 0.

Under old business, discussion of special use permit submitted by Bobbie Arnold. Motion made by Shockley and seconded by Bowlin to recommend to the city Council acceptance of permit as presented. Vote: Ayes: 6 Nays: 0.

Also under old business, update of city Council action passing recommendation regarding GIS mapping.

Under new business, discussion of special use permit submitted by Myra June Hogan. Motion made by Payne-Hubler and seconded by Neal to recommend to the city council acceptance of permit as presented. Vote: Ayes: 6 Nays: 0.

Under miscellaneous business, Mincon Rockdrills discussed regarding addition to business as approved March 1, 2017.

Mobile homes and manufactured homes discussed.

No public comments.

Next regular business meeting scheduled for November 1, 2017.

Having no further business, a motion was made by Payne-Hubler and seconded by Shockley to adj at 6:50 pm. Vote: Ayes: 6 Nays: 0.
