2.Roof Bids – Firehouse and Snack Stand

Bids will be resubmitted to include prevailing wage; return to committee agenda. Council Member Linnertz asked if the park shelter roofs had any storm damage. Poetker said they have been checked. Mayor Lowry will have a report from the insurance company for the October committee meeting.

C. Public Health & Safety Committee - Meeting September 18, 2017

1. Halloween Trick or Treat Hours

Motion made by Council Member Hanebutt, seconded by Council Member Reed, to authorize setting Trick or Treat hours from 6:00-9:00 P.M. on October 31st. The vote was as follows: Hanebutt, aye; Linnertz, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Esker, aye; Guebert, aye; Reed, aye. Motion carried.

2. Replacement of Squad Car

The insurance company totaled the wrecked squad car and gave the city $8,100 less $1,000 deductible for the car. Chief Brittingham would like to purchase a replacement used car from the MO State Police Rotation Program.

Motion made by Council Member Hanebutt, seconded by Council Member Linnertz, to authorize Chief Brittingham to spend up to $8,500 to purchase an used replacement squad car. The vote was as follows: Linnertz, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Esker, aye; Guebert, aye; Reed, aye; Hanebutt, aye. Motion carried.

D.Public Works Committee - Meeting September 18, 2017

1.Training Request – T. Caverly

Motion made by Council Member Linnertz, seconded by Council Member Donjon, to approve the request to send Tom Caverly to training entitled “Fletcher Reinhardt Open House” on October 19, 2017, with no fee; transportation required. 1. Chamber of Commerce Holiday Happenings Events & Lighted Parade – Resolution 17-008

Motion made by Council Member Reed, seconded by Council Member Linnertz, to approve Resolution No. 17-008, “A Resolution Authorizing Approval Of The Street Closing For The Red Bud Chamber Of Commerce Lighted Parade/Holiday Happenings”. The vote was as follows: Harbaugh, aye; Esker, aye; Guebert, aye; Reed, aye; Hanebutt, aye; Linnertz, aye; Donjon, aye. Motion carried.

Motion made by Council Member Reed, seconded by Council Member Linnertz, to approve the request from the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce to conduct the Holiday Happenings Events on November 17- 18, 2017 per their letter to the City of Red Bud. 2. Holiday Voices Special Requests – Close Bloom Street, Reserve City Hall Par, Clydesdales, Camels

Motion made by Council Member Reed, seconded by Council Member Hanebutt, to approve the Holiday Voices Special Request for December 9, 2017 to close Bloom St., reserve City Hall Park, allow Clydesdales and camels. The vote was as follows: Guebert, aye; Reed, aye; Hanebutt, aye; Linnertz, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Esker, aye. Motion carried.

3. Perandoe Special Request – Lincoln Park#1 – October 11, 2017 – Rain Out Date, October 12 - Waive Fee

Motion made by Council Member Reed, seconded by Council Member Linnertz, to approve the Perandoe request to reserve Lincoln Park #1 on October 11, 2017 (rain date October 12) from 8:00 A.M.–2:00 P.M. for a student soccer tournament. The vote was as follows: Reed, aye; Hanebutt, aye; Linnertz, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Esker, aye; Guebert, aye. Motion carried.

4. Shriners Special Request - Collect 4-Way – October 27, 2017

5.Request from RBFD to Host Family Night – City Hall Park – October 21, 2017

2. Land Acquisition – Potential Executive Session

Council Member Linnertz reported that he, Superintendent Eckart and Tim Fahey had gone through the parks and made a list of projects. Eckart will have a list of costs for the committee meeting.
