Jefferson County Board Services Committee met Nov. 20.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

Committee Members Present: Sean Wilkey, Chairman, Cliff Lindemann, Randy Edwards, Wayne Hicks & Adam Ortgiesen

Others Present: Steve Draege, Joyce Damron, Tim Marlow, Jeff Williams, James Malone, Travis Allen, Bruce Hapeman, Jack Abbott, Lee Ann Crunk, Bob Watt, Jereshaw & Suzytate

No one was present for public input.

Motion by Randy Edwards and seconded by Adam Ortgiesen to accept the Public Defender's Report as presented. Motion Carried, Vote -5 aye, 0 nay

Jack Abbott, PMG, presented options for employee health insurance, Currently the health insurance plan is at $30,000.00 stop loss and money has been paid out by the stop loss carrier. The renewal on the current plan increased. Abbott's recommendation is to increase the stop loss to $50,000.00 with a 15/12 contract. This will increase the County's liability through the stop loss with the premium decreasing slightly. The county's high experience ratefueled the increase and need to increase the stop loss liability. Significant increases will be realized by employees with dependent coverage. Motion by Wayne Hicks and seconded by Randy Edwards to recommend to the Full Board to approve Option #3 proposed by IPMG for employee health insurance where the stop loss will increase from $30,000 to $50,000. Motion Carried. Vote -5 aye, 0 nay

Motion by Randy Edwards and seconded by Wayne Hicks to adjourn. Motion Carried. Vote -5 aye, 0 nay
