Attendance:
The Special meeting of the Board of Education was called to order at 6 p.m., October 17, 2017, with the following members present: Zoe Ann Schwarze, Ginny Rusteberg, Kim Franke, Andrea Blackwell, Justin Rohlfing and Stephanie Tyberendt. Administrative Personnel present: Eric Frankford and Tammy Crossin.

Executive Session:
Motion Blackwell Second Rusteberg to go into Executive Session to discuss Student disciplinary and other matters relating to individual students. 51LCS120/2(C) (9-10)). Allaye. Board went into Executive Session at 6 p.m. and returned back to Open Session at 7:20 P.M. Roll Call for Open Session: Zoe Ann Schwarze, Ginny Rusteberg, Kim Franke, Andrea Blackwell, Justin Rohlfing and Stephanie Tyberendt.
Motion Schwarze Second Rusteberg move that the Board of Education find that a preponderance off the evidence presented in the expulsion hearing established that Student 02-2018 committed the misconduct as charged and that his conduct was offensive and violated Board Policy 7:20 and the Student Handbook; that based on the seriousness of the student's misconduct the Board finds that the following punishment is appropriate and necessary in this particular case:
1. The student shall be required to write a letter of apology to Student A, and
2. The student shall be suspended out of School for a total six school days from October 16, 2017 through and including October 24, 2017; and
3. The student shall serve a three day in School suspension on October 25, 26 and 27, and
4. In accordance with the Athletic Code of Conduct, the student shall not participate in the first four basketball games of the 2017-2018 basketball season.
