Sparta Community Unit School District #140 Board of Education met October 26.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
The special meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by President Corey Rheinecker and upon the roll being called, Corey Rheinecker and the following members of the Board of Education answered present: Angela Craig, Howard Gallois, Kevin Holliday and Alan Young. Absent: Bert Byington and Kenneth Kempfer. Others present were: Superintendent Dr. Gabrielle Schwemmer; Principal Scott Beckley; and members of the community and press (County Journal.)
Board President Rheinecker led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Howard Gallois moved, Kevin Holliday seconded to approve the Settlement Agreement between Sparta District 140 and Titus Clay as presented. Roll call vote. Yeas: Craig, Gallois, Holliday, Young and Rheinecker. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Alan Young moved, Howard Gallois seconded to change the next regular board meeting date to November 8, 2017. Roll call vote. Yeas: Craig, Gallois, Holliday, Young and Rheinecker. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Mrs. Craig left the meeting at 9:10 a.m.
Interviews were held with architect firms.
Kevin Holliday moved, Howard Gallois seconded to adjourn the meeting at 12:08 p.m. Roll call vote: Yeas: Craig, Gallois, Holliday, Young and Rheinecker. Nays: none. Motion carried.
