Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

3. Recognition: The Administration will share their respective items of recognition of students and staff.

4. Consent Agenda:

a. Approval of the minutes of the December 14, 2017 special Board of Education meeting (including executive session minutes);

b. Approval of the suspensions imposed by each school’s administration;

5. Financial Items:

a. Approval of the payment of bills for December 2017.

b. Approval of the December 2017 financial report.

6. Public Hearing:

7. New Or Unfinished Business:

a. Consideration of options for K-8 School roof replacement including possibility of authorizing District Architect to develop bid specifications.

b. Update on state funding for K-12 education.

c. Consideration of re-scheduling February Board meeting date due to schedule conflict.

8. Executive Session: To discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, performance of specific employees in accordance with 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) and collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees of their representative in accordance with 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (2).

9. Leave Of Absence Requests:

a. Bethany Valier has requested a maternity leave to tentatively begin April 6, 2018 and continue until the end of the school year.

b. Dacia Harsy has requested a maternity leave to tentatively begin April 20, 2018 and continue until the end of the school year.

c. Shaneille Piper has requested a maternity leave to tentatively begin May 15, 2018 with a tentative return date of October 1, 2018.

10. Employment Of Personnel:

a. Administrator contract extensions

b. Non-certified support staff position

c. Approval of spring extra-curricular volunteer list as submitted by the High School Athletic Director
