New Business:
1. Approval of the following Resolutions providing the County of Williamson with abatement of real estate tax levies on the listed General Obligation Refunding Bonds for the City of Marion.
a. Resolution No. 2018-01 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2015 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $1,418.880.50
b. Resolution No. 2018-02 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2007 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $126,822.50.
c. Resolution No. 2018-03 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2017 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $262,375.00.
d. Resolution No. 2018-04 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2011A for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $367,192.50.
e. Resolution No 2018-05 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2011 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $230,499.12.
f. Resolution No. 2018-06 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2012 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $238,232.50.
g. Resolution No. 2018-07 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2013 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $1,394,335.00.
h. Resolution No. 2018-08 – abating General Obligation Bonds Series 2014 for the 2017 tax year payable in 2018, in the amount of $984,850.00.
2. Resolution 2019-09 – Resolving the Revolving Loan Committee.
Sewer Department:
3. Council approval to purchase 2 mechanical seals to rebuild a sludge pump for the bio-solids operation, with the cost of each $2,428.00 or $4,856.00 plus shipping making the total cost over $5,000.00.
County 911 Board:
4. Council approval to re-appoint the following persons to the Williamson County 911 Board as City of Marion Representatives:
Dispatch Sergeant D.J. Stewart to a three-year term.
Police Chief Dawn Tondini to a two-year term.
Fire Chief Jerry Odum to a one-year term.
Street Department
4A. Council approval to purchase Rock Salt at $54.13 a ton. Last year’s price was $72.10 a ton. This is a budgeted item.
4B. Council approval of a change order from Comfort Zone Insulation to insulate ceiling of B-1 Street Department building for $6,000.00. Funds coming from Street Department Building Maintenance Budget.
Hub Recreation Center:
5. New Employee Recommendations – Part-time Employee
Malachi Williams –Tennis Instructor $15.00/hour, Basketball Sports Staff $8.50/hour
Mildred Smith – Child watch $9.00/hour, Front Desk Attendant $9.00/hour, Café Attendant $9.00/hour
Jacob Schmid – Child watch $9.00/hour, Camp Counselor $9.00/hour, Basketball Sports Staff $8.50/hour
6. Additional Job Classification
Zachary Nave – Basketball Sports Staff $8.50/hour
7. (a) New Position Creation
Group Fitness Manager – $20.00/hour (Estimated 3-5 hours per week) for management of Group Exercise program and instructor communication with Fitness Coordinator remaining in direct supervision of all group exercise instructors in the department.
7. (b) Job Classification Addition
Jen Rodrigues – Group Fitness Manager – $20.00/hour (3-5 hours per week) – Current Group Exercise Instructor (senior in experience and role).
7. (c) Pay Rate Approval
Jen Rodrigues – Group Exercise Instructor – increase from $15.00/hour to $20.00/hour (Regular Schedule 9 hours per week).
8. Council Approval of Aquatics Coordinator, Jared King, to be moved from hourly pay rate with overtime to comparable salary.
Code Enforcement:
9. Council approval of advertising for Bids for Sale of vacant City owned lots.
9A.Council approval to purchase properties, which the City of Marion has liens on – from Williamson County.
Marion Carnegie Library
10. Council approval of lowest bid to replace tile on the 2nd floor of the Young Adult room in the Library. (Part of the floor was previously completed)
Project to be paid for by Friends of the Library.
11. Mrs. Tryphosia Lee requesting permission to hold the Young Hearts with Goals Banquet May 12th at The Pavilion with the City of Marion taking care of the cost of The Pavilion rental fee and also donating toward the cost of the Banquet.
12. Council approval to pay Williamson County Historical Museum annual subsidy of $15,000.00. (Budgeted item)
13. Ordinance 3417 Approving the Second Amendment to the Redevelopment plan and projects for TIF District V.
14. Ordinance 3418 Designating the Amended Redevelopment Project area for the Second Amendment to TIF V.
15. Ordinance 3419 Adopting Tax Increment Allocation Financing for the Second Amendment to TIF V.
16. Ordinance 3420 Approving the First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan and Projects for the Marion Hill View TIF.
17. Ordinance 3421 Designating the Amended Redevelopment Project Are for the First Amendment to the Marion Hill View TIF.
18. Ordinance 3422 Adopting Tax Increment Allocation Financing for the First Amendment to the Marion Hill View TIF.
