City of Red Bud Public Health and Safety Committee met January 15.

Committee Chairman Hanebutt called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m.
Old Business:
I.Public Parking Signs and Lights for Dieterich Bank Lot - Update
Recommendation made by Committee Member Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Friess, to authorize Superintendent Eckart to purchase and install two public parking signs, NTE $500 and to add a dust to dawn light on the Dieterich Bank lot. Carried
New Business :
I.Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – December 18, 2017 Meeting
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the minutes from the December 18, 2017 meeting. Carried
II.Department Activity Report
The monthly and yearly department activity reports were included in the packets.
III.FOP Negotiations – Labor Attorney Option
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve hiring Guinn, Mundorf, LLC to handle the FOP negotiations, as needed, at a rate of $180-190/hour. Carried
IV.3-Way Placards for Stop Signs at W. Field and Bayberry
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve placing stop signs at north and south Bayberry and remove the stop sign that is currently on W. Field Dr. Carried
V.Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
Josh Wirth’s resignation was omitted from the committee agenda and will be on the council agenda for acceptance.
