Tamaroa Grade School District 5 Board met March 20.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Roll Call: Present – Harsy, Stein, Phillips, Doerflein, Restoff. Absent-Terry, Klamm

Visitors: Cindy Opp, Madelyn Doerflein, Chloe Eisenhauer, Jaleigh Moss, Aurora Wright.

7th Grade Student’s Projects Presentation: Students acted as Class Representatives, addressing the Board of Education requesting summer availability for the school playground as well as higher standards for extra-curricular activities.

MOTION: by Stein second by Doerflein to approve consent agenda

MOTION: by Stein, second by Restoff to approve the Transportation Contract with Sherman Bus for School Year 2018-19.

MOTION: by Stein, second by Restoff to approve the Mowing Contract with Reeves’ for School Year 2018-19.

MOTION: by Doerflein, second by Harsy to approve the annual 8th Grade Trip to Chicago from May 14th-16th 2018.

All in favor, none opposed.

MOTION: by Harsy, second by Phillips to approve the 8th Grade Class of 2018 Graduation date of May 17th.

All in favor, none opposed.

MOTION: by Stein, second by Doerflein to approve the monthly Board of Education meetings to Wednesday in order to better accommodate member attendance.

All in favor, none opposed.

MOTION: by Stein, second by Phillips to approve the Rehiring of Certified Teachers for School Year 2018-19.

MOTION: by Doerflein, second by Harsy to approve the Reduction in Force for the Paraprofessionals.

The next Board of Education meeting is set for Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 @ 6:30 pm.
