City of Waterloo Community Center Committee met January 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Meeting called to order at 5:00 p.m. with the following committee members in attendance, Alderman Russ Row, Stan Darter and Clyde Heller, Mayor Tom Smith, Nate Krebel, Shawn Kennedy and Glen Lutz, Jim Trantham and Tim Birk were also present.

Agenda Item 1: Petitions by Citizens on Non- Agenda Items: None

Agenda Item 2: Old Firehouse Roofing: Nate Handed out a Sheet showing what was needed to fox the roof and be done to bring the firehouse up to code. After discussion about the list of things to be done, it was the consensus of the board that the building would need to much work and the layout of the building does not work for a community center. It was decided that an appraisal was needed to see what the building was worth. A motion to approve an appraisal was made by Clyde and second by Stan Darter, This passed.

Agenda Item 3: Interior: The Board will wait for the appraisal before any action on the interior

Agenda Item 4: Comments: Discussion on the zoning of the building and different building sites.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Glen Lutz and second by Clyde Heller. Meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
