Report: Pinckneyville spent $9,833 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Pinckneyville Community High School District 101 is down 13 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Perry County school district spent $11,287 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,833 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 435 to 450.

Pinckneyville's spending in 2016-17 was 24 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
