Report: Coulterville spent $9,867 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Coulterville Unit School District 1 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Randolph County school district spent $9,335 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,867 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 224 to 216.

Coulterville's spending in 2016-17 was 24 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
