Code of Ordinances Rewriting and Restructuring Process Update
Attorney Ray has spent $11,731.50 on the code of ordinances update, is finished with the restructuring and will be working on adding in the new policies.
Red Bud Athletic Association Sponsorship Request for RBAA Day
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Esker to co-sponsor RBAA Day in the amount of $1,500. Carried
Musket Lighting Project
Committee Member Linnertz said that Rodney Nevois thought he could get all the work done, except laying & hookup of the wiring, including setting the poles and trenching. The parks committee was ok with the $9,500 coming out of their budget.
Recommendation made by Committee Member Esker, seconded by Committee Member Friess to authorize the wiring of lights as requested by the Muskets, NTE $9,500. Carried
New Business
I.Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – January 15, 2018
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve the minutes from the January 15, 2018 meeting. Carried
II.Maturing CDs and CD Bid Results
There are no maturing CDs this month. The Cd rates were reviewed, but no action was taken.
III.FY’19 Budget, Capital Plan and CPI Information
Poetker said that Dustin Ziebold was not able to be at the meeting. There will be a finance committee budget meeting scheduled sometime between the March council meeting and the March committee meetings.
IV.DCEO RLF Program Update
Pam Poetker explained the three options that the State of Illinois is offering regarding the DCEO revolving loan funds. It is important for the city to select which option they prefer because of the incentives. This is time sensitive, since some of the options have time frames hooked to them. The Mayor will meet with economic development and other key staff to identify which option is best for the city.
V.Red Bud Athletic Association – Garage Project
Eli Aubuchon submitted a proposal for the materials only cost of a maintenance shed at the sports complex. The parks committee is ok with this project and it has been added to the 2019 budget.
Recommendation made by Committee Member Esker, seconded by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, to approve the money for building materials for a maintenance shed at the sports complex, NTE $9,500. Carried
VI.Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner – March 10, 2018
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Reed, to approve the authorization for any council member to attend the Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner on March 10, 2018. Carried
