City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met March 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Committee Members Present: Mike Reed, Kyle Donjon, Clem Esker, Curt Guebert

Committee Members Absent: Glenn Linnertz

Council Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, David Friess, Susan Harbaugh

Others Present: Mayor Tim Lowry, City Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Administrator Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Reed called the meeting to order at 8:31 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting February 19, 2018

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Reed, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the minutes from the February 19, 2018 meeting. Carried

II. Street Collections – Review of Policies and Eligibility Guidelines

Street Ordinance 7-2-10 was discussed regarding 4-way collections.

III. Request from Red Bud Lions - Collect at Four Way – Oct. 12-13, 2018

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Reed, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the request from Red Bud Lions Club to collect at the 4 way on Friday, October 12, 2-6 P.M. and Saturday, October 13, 2018, 8:00 A.M.-Noon. Carried

IV. Request from Girl Scouts to Reserve Ratz Park #1, Less Fee – April 29, 2018

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Reed, seconded by Committee Member Friess, to approve the request from the Girl Scouts of Northern Randolph County – Service Unit #57 to reserve Ratz Park #1, less fee, on Sunday, April 29, 2018 for the Rubber Duck Derby. Carried

V. Request from Vices Bar – Authorization to Host Event – May 5, 2018

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Reed, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the request from Vices Bar to close a portion of Oak Street next to Ryan Dannenberg’s property for an event to be held on May 5, 2018, in accordance with Ryan Dannenberg’s proposal and to amend the ordinance and his special use permit to allow him to have music for this event and rent the tables from Ratz Park for the day. Carried
