Waterloo City Council met June 14.

1. The meeting was called to order by Alderman Clyde Heller, Mayor Pro Tem in Mayor Smith’s absence at 7:30 p.m.
2. The following Aldermen were present: Notheisen, Thomas, Hopkins, Trantham, Darter, Buettner, Row and Heller.
3. Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Pro Tem Clyde Heller.
4. Correction or Withdrawal of Agenda Items by Sponsor.

5. Approval of Minutes as Written or Amended
Motion made by Alderman Darter and seconded by Alderman Trantham to approve the May 21, 2018, 7:30 p.m. City Council Minutes. Motion passed unanimously with Aldermen Darter, Buettner, Row, Heller, Notheisen, Thomas, Hopkins and Trantham voting yea.

A. Consideration and Action on Ordinance No. 1758 Authorizing an Amendment to the City of Waterloo Revised Code of Ordinances, Chapter 40 Zoning, Article II: General Zoning District Regulations, Section 40-2-3(B) Regarding Government Offices, Uses, Facilities and Buildings.
Motion made by Alderman Notheisen and seconded by Alderman Row to approve Ordinance No. 1758 authorizing an amendment to the City of Waterloo Revised Code of Ordinances, Chapter 40 Zoning, Article II: General Zoning District Regulations, Section 40-2-3(B) regarding government offices, uses, facilities and buildings. Discussion. Zoning Administrator, Nagel, stated the Planning and Zoning Committees approved the changes in the zoning regulations. Motion passed unanimously with Alderman Nothesien, Thomas, Hopkins, Trantham, Darter, Buettner, Row and Heller voting yea.

12. Miscellaneous Business.
A. Consideration and Action on Warrant No. 566. Motion made by Alderman Darter and seconded by Alderman Notheisen to approve Warrant No. 566. Motion passed unanimously with Aldermen Darter, Buettner, Row, Heller Notheisen, Thomas, Hopkins and Trantham voting yea.
B. Consideration and Action on Purchase of Two (2) 2018 Ford Police Interceptor Utility AWD vehicles from Morrow Brothers Ford for $36,375.00 each. Motion made by Aldermen Notheisen and seconded by Alderman Darter to purchase two Ford police interceptor Utility AWD vehicles from Morrow Brothers Ford for $36,375.00 each. Discussion. Chief Douglas explained the package deal from Morrow Brothers Ford. Motion passed unanimously with Aldermen Notheisen Darter, Buettner, Row, Heller, Thomas, Hopkins and Trantham voting yea.
13. Matters by Council Members Arising After Agenda Deadline.
Alderman Notheisen announced the Garden Club will be judging the Yards of Distinction on
June 24, 2018.
Alderman Buettner stated the ‘Camryn’s Coaltion Walk-Run’ is this Saturday.
Alderman Heller stated the attendance at the car show Sunday was well attended with over 200 car entries.
14. Motion to Adjourn. Motion made by Alderman Buettner rand seconded by Alderman Notheisen to adjourn. Motion passed with unanimous voice vote. Mayor Pro Tem Clyde Heller adjourned the meeting at 7:40 p.m.
