City of Columbia issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING CITY OF COLUMBIA, ILLINOIS
In order to gain public input for the proposed Creekside Park project, the City of Columbia will be holding a public information meeting on Tuesday, September 18 at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Columbia City Hall, 208 S. Rapp Ave.
The Creekside Park project will consist of new asphalt walking/biking trails, pavilions, playground equipment, parking lot, pedestrian bridge, 2 acre lake, and other amenities in an effort to develop the 17 acre park.
The proceeding of the meeting will be informal and individuals will have the opportunity to ask questions about the project. City staff will be present to answer questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Preliminary drawings will be available for inspection at the meeting.
