City of Columbia issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING CITY OF COLUMBIA, ILLINOIS
In order to gain public input for the proposed Bolm-Schuhkraft Connector Trail project, the City of Columbia will be holding a public information meeting on Tuesday, September 18 at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Columbia City Hall, 208 S. Rapp Ave.
The Bolm-Schuhkraft Connector Trail project will add sidewalks and curb and gutter along Monroe Street from Main Street to the old Department of Public Works property. The project will also include a shared-use path across City property linking Main Street to the existing trail in Bolm-Schuhkraft Park.
The proceeding of the meeting will be informal and individuals will have the opportunity to ask questions about the project. City staff and representatives from the City’s consulting engineers will be present to answer questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Preliminary drawings and effects on properties will be available for inspection at the meeting.
