“A Museum? A Dream Becomes a Reality!” by Norma Reheis, 1:30 pm, Monroe County History Museum, 724 Elaine Drive, Waterloo, IL. Receiving a gift is always exciting! Receiving the Edd and Violet Kueker gifted collection of more than 3,500 artifacts ranging in size from a military pin to a stagecoach was fantastic and an awesome legacy for Monroe County! The challenge – constructing a facility. Relive the progress and experiences of the numerous volunteers, community and county supporters as the facility grew from a “Pick up Rocks Party” to the “Grand Opening – October 25, 2008”, to our present three gallery facility – Monroe County History Museum’s 10th Anniversary Celebration!
