City of Waterloo - Ordinance Committee met September 17.

Committee meeting called to order by chairman Clyde Heller, with the following attending; Russ Row, Stan Darter, James Hopkins, Steve Notheisen, Mayor Tom Smith, Shawn Kennedy, Tim Birk.
Note for record: Minutes of last Ordinance Committee meeting, July 16, 2018 was approved at Utility meeting 08-13-18.
Agenda Item1: Petitions by Citizens on Non-Agenda Items. None.
Agenda Item 2: Human Resource Coordinator draft ordinance. Shawn Kennedy presented a draft ordinance establishing the appointed position of Human Resource Coordinator. Steve Notheisen had a question on paragraph 1-2-172 as it applies to exempt compensation phrase. After explanation of phrase, Steve Notheisen motioned to accept draft ordinance as presented, second by Russ Row, approved 5-0. This draft will be submitted to full council for approval.
Agenda Item 3. Comments: A general review of past ordinance minutes will be accomplished to ensure no outstanding requirements exist.
