Pinckneyville School District 50 Board met September 25.

The president called the meeting to order and directed the secretary to take roll. The roll was taken and Austin Marlow, president and the following members were present: Greg Conway, Kyle Pursell, Scott Carney and Aaron Johnson. Craig Lazenby and Gideon Hutchcraft were not in attendance. Also present were the following people: Scott Wagner, Mark Rohlfing, Brittany McConachie, Barbie Templeton.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to approve the Consent agenda. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Marlow, Carney, Conway, Pursell. Yes-5 No-0. Motion carried.

A Public Hearing was held on the proposed 2018-19 budget.
Motion to adopt the 2018-19 Budget was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell: (Gideon Hutchcraft arrives 7:02)
Whereas the Board of Education of the Pinckneyville Elementary School District #50, Counties of Perry and Washington, State of Illinois, cause to be prepared in tentative form a budget, and the Secretary of the Board has made the same conveniently available to the public inspection at least thirty days prior to the final action thereon:
Section 1: That the fiscal year of this School District be and the same hereby fixed and declared to be beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019.
Section 2: The following budget contained an estimate of amounts available in each fund, separately, and of expenditures from each be the same is hereby adopted as the budget of the School District for said fiscal year.
Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to post the Administrative & Teacher Compensation Report. Yes-6 No-0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Conway to set the staff appreciation dinner for Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 5:30 pm. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to approve the Jr. High Intercom System replacement with Frontier total being 8,478.32. Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Hutchcraft to approve window tinting on the front windows of Pinckneyville Elementary up tp $3,000. Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Hutchcraft and seconded by Carney to go into executive Session (Time: 7:21p.m.) for the purpose of Motion: The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), as amended by P.A.93-57) and Student disciplinary cases (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9). Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to come out of executive session. Time 7:29p.m. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to accept the Maternity Leave for Jayci Barnett effective November of the 2018-19 School Year. Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Conway and seconded by Hutchcraft to accept the Maternity Leave for Dana Kellerman effective December of the 2018-19 School Year. Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to hire Chelsea Bumann as Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for the 2018-19 School Year. Roll call vote: Yes –Conway, Marlow, Pursell, Johnson, Hutchcraft and Carney. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Carney and seconded by Pursell to adjourn the meeting. Yes-6 No-0. Motion carried.
