City of Red Bud Finance Committee met Dec. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Susan Harbaugh, Bill Hanebutt, Mike Reed, Clem Esker, David Friess

Committee Members Absent:

Council Members Present: Curt Guebert, Glenn Linnertz, Kyle Donjon

Council Members Absent:

Others Present: Mayor Tim Lowry, Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Administrator Jeff Mueller Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Pledge of Allegiance

Committee Chairman Harbaugh called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Old Business

I. Code of Ordinances Rewriting and Restructuring Process Update

Attorney Ray stated that there is no change from last month.

II. Hess/Stines Litigation

The summary judgement was denied on Friday, December 14, 2018. The case is set for trial on March 26, 2019.

III. Enterprise Zone Update

Mayor Lowry said they are still collecting letters of support and the application will be submitted by December 31, 2018.

IV. Health Insurance Renewal

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to authorize approval to accept the United Health Care Renewal, with the tele-doc services, through Einstein Consultants, effective January 1, 2019. Carried

V. DCEO Revolving Loan Fund Program Closeout Ordinance No. 1420

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to authorize approval of Ordinance No. 1420, “An Ordinance Authorizing Sale Of Personal Property Owned By The City Of Red Bud, Illinois. Carried

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – November 19, 2018

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Reed, to approve the minutes from the November 19, 2018 meeting. Carried

II. Maturing CDs and CD Bid Results

None

III. New Roof Installation – Ratz Memorial Park

This will be rebid in the spring. No action taken.

IV. Authorization to Hire Finance Clerk

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Harbaugh, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve hiring Elizabeth Cowell at the rate of $22.48 per hour, as the finance clerk, effective in January, 2019, subject to the physical and drug test. Carried

V. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

Meeting was adjourned at 7:08 P.M.
