Report: Pinckneyville spent $10,009 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Pinckneyville Community High School District 101 is down 12.4 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Perry County school district spent $11,431 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,009 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 442 to 451.

Pinckneyville's spending in 2017-18 was 25 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
