Report: Prairie Du Rocher spent $9,603 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Prairie Du Rocher Community Consolidated School District 134 is up 19.2 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Randolph County school district spent $8,058 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,603 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 176 to 144.

Prairie Du Rocher's spending in 2017-18 was 28 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
