Report: Tamaroa spent $10,158 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Tamaroa School District 5 is down 11.4 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Perry County school district spent $11,463 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,158 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 107 to 98.

Tamaroa's spending in 2017-18 was 23.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
