Report: Red Bud spent $10,109 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Red Bud Community Unit School District 132 is down 2.4 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Randolph County school district spent $10,361 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,109 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1038 to 1014.

Red Bud's spending in 2017-18 was 24.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
