Report: Duquoin spent $9,694 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Duquoin Community Unit School District 300 is down 4.7 percent from five years ago, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Perry County school district spent $10,177 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,694 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1504 to 1529.

Duquoin's spending in 2017-18 was 27.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
