Administrators in Pinckneyville School District 50 earn an average of $110,741 per year, ranking 221st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 14.4% higher than in 2014 and 16.4% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 3.2% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Perry County school district enrolled 550 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 183 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
